This one is from a couple weeks back, but was my entry for the most recent Textures challenge at DPChallenge, a weekly photography challenge that I participate in from time to time. Anonymity is supposed to be important there, so I avoided posting this until the voting was over. I placed 3rd out of 611 entries - needless to say, I am very pleased with the results.
I took this in the UCLA Botanical Gardens back when I first got my Sigma macro. For those of you who don't go here, I'll let you know that the campus is overflowing with squirrels, so it definitely was not very hard to come across one (or two, as it was). I had to drop a few pistachio nuts on the ground to get it to stop running around so frantically and allow me a chance to get a few close shots. I'm certainly glad that I did :)

Also posted here. Sorry to those of you who have already seen it on DPC and my plog.

And it's got to be the cutest squirrel shot I've ever seen!
Congrats man.
