You Lookin' At Me?
Between signing the lease for my new apartment and going out for Char's birthday yesterday, I paid a visit to the Los Angeles Zoo. It was a little hot, sending most of the animals to the shade for sleep. This was one of the few exhibits with any activity.. a group of Gerenuks - originally from Africa.
It's really interesting to watch the animals - some seem so oblivious to our presence (though they're probably not) while others seem quite inquisitive. This particular female seemed to love to mug for the camera - I got quite a few shots of her checking me out.. but this was the one with the cleanest background.

On a sidenote, I think I may consolidate all my posts solely to funktifeye.com soon - I hope you guys will stop by and check in once in awhile - I'll come back here as well. It's just a bit easier for me to keep all my posts/comments in one place. Plus the versions posted there are 50% larger (which makes a big difference, in my opinion) - so I hope to see you guys there!
